Okay, So All The Cool Kids Are Doing It....

I've never done this before, but seeing as how everyone else seems to be, and seeing as how it's possible someone who's new to Muffin Tin Monday might want to see some of my older tins, I hereby present:

Sugary Flower's Top Five Posts of 2011 !

Or perhaps I should say, top five posts written in 2011 (some of my most consistently popular posts are really old ones). In fact, my most popular post ever of all time (and consistently most popular Every Week) is actually a cake related one (the My Little Pony Castle Cake post). But that was a post I wrote last year. This year, it's all about Muffin Tins...

1. Muffin Tin Monday - Horsing Around
I loved this tin - and the author of the book it was based on commented on my post! How Exciting!!
2. Muffin Tin Monday - Baby Beluga
This muffin tin was based on one of the catchiest kids' songs ever...
3. Muffin Tin Monday - The Very Hungry Caterpillar
This has to be one of the most popular book-related themes - heaps of people have done it, but here's our version.
4. What's For Lunch Wednesday - Ballerina Bento
A very simple bento lunch that The Muffin took to kindy one day.
5. Muffin Tin Monday plus Bonus Elephant Bento
Not sure whether the MTM or the bento made this one popular, but The Muffin just loved all the elephants!2011 was a huge year for The Muffin, what with starting - and finishing - Kindy. She has grown up so much these past twelve months, and I know I'm going to be saying that again in twelve months time, but still it's true! One of the ways in which she has really grown is in her willingness to try new foods, and also the likelihood of her liking them has increased. I believe that Muffin Tin Monday has really helped in this regard (as has watching Australian Junior MasterChef), but I guess it's also just part of her growing up. Don't get me wrong - we still have issues with most green vegetables, and her favourite meat is still sausages, but her second favourite? Is duck. Really. And she's still four (just). So I guess what I'm saying is, if you have a SUPER fussy picky eater on your hands (and believe me, The Muffin absolutely used to be), don't give up! There is light at the end of that Very Long Tunnel.

Happy New Year! Here's hoping 2012 is a great year for us all...
