Ahoy there, me hearties, an' a very happy Talk Like A Pirate Day to ye!
(yes, technically I'm an hour and a half late for this in my time zone, but surely ye wouldn't be the kind o' bilgerat who'd hold that against me, now would ye? Nay, I thought not).
As ye might guess, there was only one theme our Muffin Tin Monday snack could possibly have had today!
Top Row: Spinach leaf palm tree with pea "coconuts"; Cheese (writing done with Gourmet Writers); AAARRRR - Treasure!!! (a chocolate coin).
Middle: Pikelet skulls.
Bottom Row: Banana slices hoistin' the Jolly Roger; Buried Treasure; Apple skulls.
The "buried treasure" was chopped tinned apricots, hidin' beneath a layer of plain yoghurt. The Muffin requested "pirate sprinkles". I suggested a little red sanding sugar, which met with her approval.
Diggin' fer gold!
And, The After Shot:
The Muffin wrapped one pea in a spinach leaf, dipped it in the apricots, ate it with the most hilariously disgusted look on 'er face, and then cut a deal: She'd eat all the rest of the leaves, if she didn't have to eat another pea. Aarrr, ye can't argue with that. Clearly peas be still not a favourite!
Did ye do anythin' fer Talk Like A Pirate Day this year? I know there's at least one other Muffin Tin Mum who did - go to The Muffin Tin Mom's blog to check out all this week's links!

I love the way you celebrated! The paper cups and all your wonderful foods are great!
I love your tin! And you did the coin! I wanted to... :)
Cute idea with the spinach pea coconut tree, I'm super impressed your Muffin actually tried them even if she only ate the one, nice!
What a super cute pirate day tin! It's a fun day to celebrate isn't it.
I love it! Very creative...I will have to remember "Talk Like a Pirate Day"
