Muffin Tin Monday - Tweedilee

Late last week, my daughter fell in love. Big time. With this bird:

This very cute puppet was crocheted for her by my mother (isn't she clever?). The Muffin thinks it is the most wonderful thing ever to grace the world with its presence (except maybe icecream. And chocolate). She has christened it "Tweedilee". As you can see, Tweedilee got her own Muffin Tin Meal this week, so I decided to make The Muffin's tin Tweedilee-themed...

Top Row: Apple slices; Tweedilee Vegemite sandwich with cheese crest & tail (coloured in with Gourmet Writers); Half a hard-boiled egg (which Tweedilee has hatched out of).

Bottom Row: Apple sauce with "birdseed" (a mixture of sunflower and pumpkin seeds); Waffles (hearts, to show that The Muffin and Tweedilee love each other); Yoghurt with "Tweedilee feathers" (purple sprinkles).

The After Shot:

This tin was great fun. I was pleased (and a bit surprised) to see that she ate the seeds up no problem at all. Granted they were covered in apple sauce, but still... She enjoyed dipping the waffles in the yoghurt and apple sauce, and then ate the rest with a spoon when she ran out of waffle. About a third of the yoghurt was left (I might try giving her less yoghurt next time, as she's left some a few times in a row now).

To see what other mums did this week, check out the Muffin Tin Mom's blog. What do your kids like snacking on?
